This Odyssey is a selection of poetry written and published by Jane Jiang, a high school senior in Seattle, Washington.
All author proceeds from This Odyssey go to the China Tomorrow Education Foundation, which works directly with local governments in rural China to build schools in some of China's poorest regions. So far, US $1500 has been raised for the cause.
Jane Jiang has won numerous awards for her poetry and prose. She was the 2002 River of Words Poetry Competition Grand Prize Winner (grades 7-9) as well as a National Finalist in 2000, 2003, and 2004. In 2004 she was awarded a Scholastic Gold Award for Personal Essay/Memoir. She is also the editor of her school's literary magazine, Imago.
